Comes up short on the American side

First impression: GREAT potential. I teach this and have been looking for an app like this for ages. Sadly, this one comes up short.

First: the IPA usage for American English is weak and imprecise.
Many of the sounds connected sound like a Brit trying hard to make an American accent (especially the -er).

Last: more could be done with the interface (one thing: dont override screen orientation--its irritating).
